Great Welcome Offer on IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card

I don’t remember ever seeing such a great welcome offer on the card_name before. Through 9/4/24, you can get five 60K IHG certificates to use at one of their brands after meeting a minimum spend of $4,000 in three months. Unfortunately, these certificates cannot be “topped off” with more points.

You will want to have a plan for using these certificates, as they will expire one year after you receive them. However, there are many great uses for them. Let’s go over a few!
New York City
There are several hotels in the Big Apple where you could use these certificates. Here are three that you could stay at in New York City with these certificates.
London, England Properties
London is a popular destination for many of our readers. One welcome offer could give you five nights at one of these properties. There are several other properties under 60K that you could stay at, too.
San Diego
If you are looking for a beach vacation, San Diego, California, has many IHG properties you could stay at for under 60K/night. I love the Kimpton and Indigo brands, so this one definitely got my interest.
Cancun, Mexico
Another popular destination for our readers is Cancun. I travel to Mexico several times a year to enjoy the beautiful beaches and wonderful weather (especially during winter in Denver).
Bottom Line
The latest welcome offer on the card_name is one that I would consider. You are essentially getting 300K IHG points for opening this card vs. the usual 140K points offer. I recently got this card and really wish I had held off a while.

Planning to book an ihg hotel in Scotland. Looks like most are over 60,000 points a night but they do give you the option to use points and money. Do you know if these certificates can be used that way?
I’m pretty sure that is a no as you can’t top these off either – you could always call and ask though.
Pam, why do you wish you had held off (or passed?) on this offer? Is it because you don’t find many properties you want to stay at for 60k or less?
I got the offer BEFORE this offer – I would have preferred this offer.
