Best Credit Cards for Gas

One of my “have to” purchases is gas and we spend a lot of money on fueling the cars in our household. If we have to pay a lot to use our cars, let’s at least get rewarded for it! Here are the best credit cards to use when paying for gas!
Citi Premier Strata℠ Card
The Citi Premier Strata℠ Credit Card is a transferable points card that earns ThankYou points. We love transferable points. This is one of the best credit cards for gas as it earns a whopping 3 points per dollar spent. There are many ways to use ThankYou points.
Capital One Venture Cards
The card_name is one of our favorite cards for many reasons. This card and the card_name earn 2x points for each dollar spent on all purchases making it a no-brainer to use for many everyday purchases, including gas.
The Venture cards earn 2x points per dollar spent on ALL purchases, including gas.
Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card
The American Express Hilton Honors Surpass Card is surprisingly good at U.S. gas stations. If you want more Hilton points, you will earn 6 points per dollar spent when you buy gas at U.S. gas stations. Keep in mind Hilton points aren’t valued as high as other points but if you love Hilton this is a good option.
Ink Business Cash® Credit Card
The card_name is one of our favorite business cards. It earns 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants making it a better credit card to use than many others. This no-annual-fee card earns more Ultimate Rewards® and, as you know, that is one of our favorite currencies. Give me more points to transfer for my Hyatt stays!

IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card
Another surprising card that is good for gas purchases is the card_name. Earning 5x points per $1 spent at gas stations, it can help you get that next IHG stay.
IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card
The card_name also earns 5x points per $1 spent at the gas pump. This is a business card and since business cards don’t count against your 5/24, this is a card we really like.
Bottom Line
No one is enjoying paying high gas prices at the gas station these days. You can soften the blow a tiny bit by using one of these best credit cards for gas. We have to pay for it anyway, let’s get rewarded for it!
