Most people say that earning points/miles is the easy part. It is the booking that can make you want to pull your hair out sometimes. Enter AwardLogic.  AwardLogic helps you book award travel because they do the searching for you so you don’t have to look over numerous airline sites.

Step One

Once you sign in, you can put your destination search in and the class of seat you are looking for. You can filter on the left for the number of points you want to spend, the programs that you have points/miles in, and the % you want in a particular class.

In this example, I want to fly business class to Athens from Denver. Give it a little time, as it will take some time to search the different award programs. You can also filter for +2 days in your search, which is what I did.  Here is the initial screen that came up.

 

 

You can see that the top flights were only in business class 21% of the time, so I scrolled down to see some others that interested me more.

I looked at both options in the “view” option, but the first one had a connection in Geneva that seemed too short to me. I want a connection that is almost 2 hours, and the second one had that. I selected it, and this was my next screen.

Bottom Line

AwardLogic helps you book award travel. It makes it easy to see availability. You absolutely need to check that availability on the partner’s site, as it can change quickly, though. Never, ever transfer points/miles to a travel partner before you have confirmed that availability, as they are one-way transfers!
