How We Would Use 120K Chase Ultimate Rewards®

Chase Ultimate Rewards® are our very favorite points. With so many ways to earn them, racking up 120K is easier than it seems. Here’s how we would use 120K Chase Ultimate Rewards®…

How Megan Would Use 120K Chase Ultimate Rewards®

I’m usually one to spend my points almost as quickly as they post to my account, however, I have all our family trips booked through 2025.

Looking ahead, Portugal is one of the only Western European countries I have yet to visit, and it would make a great family vacation spot. I would fly my family of five on Flying Blue (Air France/KLM) to Lisbon, Portugal. Flying Blue gives a 25% discount to children ages 11 and under, and we love taking advantage of that discount while our daughters are young.

We live in Upstate New York, only about a 2.5-hour drive to Toronto Airport, and we often find good deals on award flights from there. My family of 5 can fly one way from Toronto to Lisbon for 85k points total!

If the elusive transfer bonus from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Flying Blue ever pops up, I can get our round-trip flights in economy for about 128k points total.

If I were to ditch my family, I’d head to Shanghai, China! Shanghai Disneyland is the last of the six Disney Parks I’d like to visit. My husband and I visited China before kids in 2014, but Shanghai Disney didn’t open until 2016.

I can fly to Shanghai on a round trip in economy for 70k points from Toronto, and I would also include a stopover in Paris or Amsterdam on the way home.

After my flights, I would have 50k points to transfer to Hyatt and use for a few nights in a hotel. The Park Hyatt Shanghai starts at 20k points per night, and the Grand Hyatt Shanghai starts at only 12k points per night.

How Jess Would Use 120K Chase Ultimate Rewards®

I would use 120K Ultimate Rewards points for three nights at the Andaz Maui. In fact, that’s my exact plan for next summer. The Andaz Maui is a category 8 property, meaning that the standard award nights are 40K points/night.

The Andaz Maui has standard rooms with two queen beds, which will be perfect for the four of us traveling together. I can’t wait to return to this amazing property for free!

I would use 120K Ultimate Rewards to visit the Andaz Papagayo in Costa Rica. Standard award nights cost 30K points per night, so this welcome offer will cover four nights. After hearing Jess and my mom rave about this resort, I decided I had to see it for myself, and 2025 is the year!

How Pam Would Use 120K Chase Ultimate Rewards®

I use most of my Ultimate Rewards for Hyatt stays, so that would be my plan. I love a good Park Hyatt and have wanted to stay at the Park Hyatt on St. Kitts like Jess did. I think I would book 4 nights there.

The Caribbean, a Park Hyatt, and a possible upgrade to a suite with a Suite Upgrade Award – sounds like perfection to me! And I’d still have points to spare!

Bottom Line

There are so many ways to use these points! Here’s how we would use 120K Chase Ultimate Rewards®—how would you use them?
