The Standard Hotels brand is Hyatt’s latest acquisition. Standard Hotels is a high-end boutique hotel brand known for its hip, artsy, and nightlife-oriented atmosphere. It’s not “standard” in the generic sense—the name is intentionally ironic, as their hotels are anything but standard. Hyatt’s acquisition of Standard International happened in late 2024 and many of these properties have been integrated into the World of Hyatt loyalty program. So what do you need to know now that The Standard Hotels brand has joined Hyatt?
Currently, there are 10 Standard Hotels worldwide that are now part of World of Hyatt’s loyalty program, and more locations are in the pipeline. Here are the current hotels bookable through Hyatt and their categories.
The Standard, High Line – New York City (Category 6)
The Standard, East Village – New York City (Category 6)
The Standard, London – London (Category 6)
The Standard, Ibiza – Ibiza (Category 6)
The Standard, Maldives – Huruvalhi Island (Category 6)
The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon – Bangkok (Category 4)
The Standard, Hua Hin – Hua Hin (Category 3)
The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit – Bangkok (Category 2)
The Standard, Singapore – Singapore (Category 5)
The StandardX, Melbourne – Melbourne (Category 3)
Happily for Hyatt loyalists, the usual Hyatt benefits will be available at these hotels. Globalists may receive premium rooms or suites where available and complimentary breakfast at participating locations with on-site dining, You can also redeem your points to stay at them just like other Hyatt brands. Additionally, there are now two new brands to stay at if you want to earn more Brand Explorer Awards! (The Standard and The StandardX both count as their own separate brands).
Note The Standard Brand and The StandardX brands under the Lifestyle Category.
The unique aspect of this Category 6 hotel is that it is only 21,000-29,000 Hyatt points/night but can hold four people. An entire family in London in one room—yes, please! Directly across from St. Pancras International and King’s Cross stations, it provides easy access to many parts of London and even Europe.

The StandardX, Melbourne offers a relaxed stay in the heart of Fitzroy. The hotel features simple, comfortable rooms with soft blue and wood tones, a rooftop bar with city views, and a restaurant serving casual Thai dishes. It’s a great base for exploring nearby galleries, shops, and cafes. The hotel provides a welcoming place for visitors looking to experience the neighborhood in a low-key way.

Want to visit the Maldives, but want a reasonable redemption rate without sacrificing style? This could be your ticket! The Standard, Maldives, is accessible by a 40-minute seaplane transfer from Malé. While this is not an over-water villa, you do have a private deck with sun loungers, a plunge pool, and an open-air bathroom with a giant bathtub.
Three iconic Standard Hotels in the U.S. are joining the Hyatt family, bringing a fresh wave of cool to the World of Hyatt program. Two are in New York City—The Standard, High Line and The Standard, East Village—while the third, The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, is set to join soon. These hotels bring The Standard’s signature blend of laid-back luxury to Hyatt’s platform. Even better? Redemption rates are actually reasonable, offering excellent value compared to some other recent additions like the Mr & Mrs Smith properties. Now that The Standard Hotels brand has joined Hyatt and is bringing even more hotel locations into the Hyatt pipeline, it’s a great time to get familiar with this brand and all the ways you can use Hyatt points to have an un-standard trip experience!
