You all know that I love Park Hyatt hotels, right? I recently returned from Morocco, and you just know I had to stay at the Park Hyatt Marrakech. Did it live up to my expectations? I might have asked, “Have I told you how much I love Park Hyatts?” a dozen times (or more) to my daughters. We were only there for two nights, but I (jokingly) said that we might be willing to forego the rest of our trip and just keep staying there. It was beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the food was superb—what more can you ask from a hotel? Oh yeah, and we did it with Hyatt points—luxury with a zero price tag (not counting meals).

The beautiful Park Hyatt Marrakech.
The Park Hyatt Marrakech is a Category 7, and we stayed on off-peak nights, so we paid 25K points per room per night. Occupancy is only two per room, so we got three rooms, and I got to hang out by myself in this gorgeous room for two nights. We used three suite upgrade awards for suites that would have cost $600 per night otherwise.

Park Hyatt Marrakech is located in the Al Maaden Golf Resort area, about 20 minutes by car from the airport. We had booked a guide to take us throughout Morocco, so he provided our transportation. It is also about 15 to 20 minutes to the city center or medina. It’s conveniently situated just outside the bustle of the old city but still close enough for quick access.
From the minute we stepped into the hotel, we were impressed. The Park Hyatt is only a little over a year old and is stunning, as are most Park Hyatts. The design is quietly dramatic and altogether my vibe. Quiet elegance in blacks, greens, and browns with high ceilings and tall windows. Mix that with marble, wood, and typical Moroccan flair, and it is stunning!
Our rooms were huge with spacious bathrooms and huge terraces. They had resort views or a view of the nearby Atlas Mountains. All of the common areas were jaw-droppingly gorgeous and beautifully decorated.

When we got to our rooms, we found a variety of treats waiting for us: fresh apples, assorted candies, date treats, and bottles of water. Shortly thereafter, the staff brought us fresh-squeezed orange juice, and cookies awaited us each night after turndown service. Additionally, there was a small complimentary minibar and snacks.

Welcome treats!
From the start of our stay to the end, the service was superb. The staff remembered our names and couldn’t be kinder or more hospitable. It was just the beginning of their “season,” so we received a lot of attention.

There are three main restaurants:

We loved breakfast at TFAYA!
They have three pools, and we spent time around the main pool. Three of my daughters also used the fitness center and enjoyed it. We would have loved to spend time at the spa, but unfortunately, our time was limited.

We loved this hotel. There was not one thing we could complain about. I would actually love to return and spend a few days just at the hotel. The relaxation factor hit all marks, and the setting was absolutely stunning. Once again, a Park Hyatt delivers, leaving me wanting a more extended stay at the Park Hyatt Marrakech. And when that happens, you know it was a great hotel!
