I’m about to make a pretty definitive statement: Air France to Europe might be the best deal there is—at least consistently. I seem to find great deals on the Air France site repeatedly. I also find a lot of Air France flights on other sites like Virgin Atlantic, both in economy class and business class. If you are contemplating a trip to Europe, check out Air France.
The Flying Blue Promo Awards are released monthly and feature some of the best deals, particularly if you are flying in economy class. They primarily showcase Air France flights, but there are also some great KLM flights. One of the first things I do if planning a trip to Europe is check out the Flying Blue Promo Awards for the current month to see if I can book there and save even more.
Even without a promo award, Air France has some of the best deals to Europe. It will often require a connecting flight to Paris (you could also fly to Paris and then position elsewhere after enjoying some fun in the City of Lights). Air France consistently shows one-way flights from many US locations to Europe for 20K/person in economy class. Here is an example of many flights for 20K from Los Angeles to Rome, and these are in the middle of summer, which is usually more expensive.
Flying from the East Coast to Europe? Let’s check out NYC to Paris – again, there are so many 20K options in economy plus.
Air France shines in business class, where 50K one-way flights from the East Coast are often the norm (especially if you are flexible and aren’t trying to book summer months). Let’s check out a few.
This is the best part! Every transferrable currency transfers to Air France, so getting points to redeem these flights is EASY. Ultimate Rewards, Membership Rewards, ThankYou Points, and Venture Miles all transfer to Air France!
While you won’t always find flights at these prices from the Air France site, it is good to know what is possible. With flexibility, you should be able to find them. Here is the one-way entry fare in miles from their site.
When your destination is Europe, check out Air France. I keep returning to Air France repeatedly and am beginning to think that Air France to Europe might be the best deal there is. What are your thoughts?
