What We Know About the Alaska Miles Premium Card

Based on what Alaska Airlines has announced and some extra details we learned from View From the Wing, we know the new premium card’s annual fee will be $395, and it will include the following benefits:

  • Global Companion Award certificates: New certificates that can be used for a round-trip or one-way coach fare on Alaska Airlines. The great part is that these will even be redeemable on international flights, and for all classes of service, which is a new and exciting change compared to the longstanding Alaska Airlines Companion Fare! One certificate will be given with the card and one for an unspecified minimum spend.
  • Category spending: This card will earn three miles per dollar spent on foreign purchases and all dining.
  • Waived award ticket fees: No fees for award tickets.
  • Alaska Lounge passes: Access to Alaska Lounges.
  • Wi-Fi vouchers: Vouchers for Wi-Fi.
  • Elite status acceleration: Acceleration to elite status in Alaska Airlines’s Mileage Plan loyalty program.

We don’t know the exact details of this card, but it is on our radar—we definitely think the free 500 miles make it worth signing up for more information! Remember, you must do this by December 31, 2024!

An Alaska Premium Card is coming and we can’t wait to learn more about it!

Hello – I currently have the regular Alaska personal card. If I’m interested in applying for this card, do I need to cancel that first? Thank you!
