When we decided to go to Singapore, we knew that we wanted to stay at the Andaz Singapore. Standard rooms are available for 25K Hyatt points/night as it is a Category 6 hotel. We could have fit the three of us in a standard room, but we redeemed a Suite Upgrade Award for an Andaz Suite so we’d have a little more space.
The Andaz is located near three major areas: Kampong Glam, Little India, and Bras Basah Bugis districts. These districts are walkable and very enjoyable to explore.
Our check-in was early, as we landed at 5:45 am. We had asked for an early check-in but were not optimistic about that. The lobby is located on level 25 of the building. Getting in an elevator to go up to the lobby was the first thing that gave us Andaz Tokyo Toranomon vibes. It’s never bad, as Jess and I love that hotel!
We were excited to learn that we had a refresh room we could use until our suite was ready. Imagine our surprise and delight when that room came equipped with a rollaway bed, too! Andaz Singapore was off to a great start! The refresh room was just a standard King room with a nice sofa, table, and gorgeous views of the city. Jess and I both had déjà vu moments of the Tokyo skyline.
After a quick breakfast, we took short naps and then showers. We were able to check into our suite a little after lunchtime.
The Andaz Suite had a king bed with a separate living area that closed off at night. This is great for that third person 🙋🏻♀️ or a couple of children. The main bathroom was huge, with a wet room overlooking Singapore’s bay.
Not only were robes available, but there were also complimentary flip-flops. About 10 minutes after we arrived, they brought us a bowl of fresh fruit, some non-alcoholic wine, and tote bags. We very much appreciate these nice welcome amenities.
Breakfast is served at Alley on 25. It is a massive buffet with an omelet station. There were choices from around the world, and it was delicious. They also provide poolside food and room service. Everything we ate was good.
There are other onsite restaurants, but we didn’t eat at any of them as we ate offsite. Singapore has many food options.
One of my favorite perks of the Andaz brand is the complimentary snacks and sodas in the rooms. They also had a nice area near the lobby with coffee, tea, lemon water, and snacks. The coconut cookies were my favorite! Upon check-in, we were each given a coupon for a free cocktail or mocktail.
There is a rooftop pool, a very small children’s pool, and a fitness center. The rooftop pool has gorgeous views of the city, and although small, we could find seats each day.
The Andaz Singapore did not disappoint. We were impressed with the great service from the staff, the great location, and the spaciousness of our suite (which had a great view). It is a hotel that all three of us would happily return to!
