There is nothing like a relaxing getaway with a good book, cold drinks, and food by the pool! Today we are talking about booking a beach resort on the cheap—How does 4 nights for $320 plus hotel taxes and fees sound for a resort that costs almost $1,200/night if you were paying cash for the stay? Sounds AMAZING to me!

Alex and I booked the Kimpton Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman for an upcoming stay and can’t wait to review it for you. However, an increased bonus on the IHG Premier Rewards Card can make this same magic happen for you. Here’s how to do it.

Getting the Points

You can book this resort for 70K IHG points/night. And remember, when you have an IHG Rewards Traveler card, IHG Rewards Premier card, or IHG Rewards Premier Business card, the 4th night on award stays is free! If you have one of those cards, you will need 210K IHG points for a four-night stay at the Kimpton Seafire.

• Have Player 2 also open the card (plus you could stay more nights)
• Purchase those 32K additional IHG points for $320 (now through March 21, IHG is offering a 100% bonus if you buy over 30K in points here). They frequently have sales, so don’t worry if you miss this one.

Once you have those 210K points, book your stay at the IHG site. This is one of those times when it is worth it to purchase points.
