Family Trip to Dallas on Points

Pam

Our latest Reader’s Success Story comes from Valerie who used points for a family trip to Dallas Texas. They were able to take seven, yes seven, family members there for free! Here are her words:

Years ago, my husband worked at Chase Bank and started understanding the beauty of credit card points. We opened both the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Marriott cards and were able to go to Hawaii, just the two of us, for five days–all on points! It was amazing!

Similarly, last year, we were able to take our entire family of seven to Dallas, Texas for a family vacation. We used 117,000 points for airfare. That amount of points would have cost us $1,500 out of pocket. But thanks to the sign-up bonuses and using the cards monthly for typical expenses that we pay off each month, we were able to have enough points (with some leftovers) to create lifetime memories with our children.
I never saw ourselves as being able to go on vacations like that, let alone take our entire family on a trip. But through the use of credit card points, it was possible and the only way I want to travel in the future!
I’m so grateful to Alex and Pam for this account to help us further understand how to grow our points even more. My husband is about to start a business, so we need a business credit card.  Alex has helped us navigate the many options available–while also growing our points to the highest balance possible! We can’t wait to go on more trips with points and miles!
Let us know if you would like to be featured on our next reader’s success story! We would love to hear how you have used credit card points and miles for travel.
