Friday Family Vacation to Boston

Pam

Boston is a city rich in history and culture. Families can explore famous landmarks such as the Freedom Trail, which takes you through 16 historical sites including the Paul Revere House and the Old North Church. Additionally, Boston has a vibrant sports scene, with teams like the Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins, so families can catch a game and cheer on their favorite teams. The city also offers beautiful parks and outdoor spaces like the Boston Common and the Public Garden, where families can enjoy picnics and leisurely strolls. Lastly, Boston is known for its delicious food, especially seafood and clam chowder, so families can indulge in some tasty local cuisine. How about a Friday Family Vacation to Boston?

Flights

Let’s fly from Houston on Southwest Airlines, which is a perfect choice for families. For under 80K points, a family of four can fly there round-trip. If they have the Southwest Companion Pass, it will only cost 60K points round-trip.

Lodging

There are a multitude of ways to use points for lodging in Boston. Every major hotel chain has a presence there, so it will be easy to find a place to stay. We will just look at a couple of them.

Hyatt Place Boston / Seaport District

At 17K/night, this is an excellent family hotel in an outstanding area of Boston. It is a category 5 hotel so you can’t use a Hyatt category 1-4 free night certificate, but it is still a great deal for a family stay.

Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor

The Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor is also located in a great location and at 12K Hyatt points/night, you can use a free night certificate here. This is another great choice.

Want to use Marriott Bonvoy points? One of my favorite stays was at the Residence Inn Boston Downton/Seaport. I loved this quirky hotel. (You can read more about our stay here.)

Bottom Line

Friday Family Vacation to Boston shows you just how easy it is to visit this beautiful and historic city with just a few credit card sign-up bonuses. The key point is that you get a nearly free trip just for using credit cards on things you have to pay for anyways. Boston is one of my favorite cities, and I’m sure your family would enjoy it too!
