Chase clearly likes me again—how else do you explain the instant approval on the card_name? After a stretch of feeling iced out with rejections and reconsiderations, this smooth approval feels like a warm welcome back into their good graces. It’s like they saw the application, remembered me, and said, “Yeah, we want this one.” Whatever it is, Chase is back on my side—and I’m back in the game! My instant approval = Chase likes me again!
Chase has not blessed me with a business card approval for a couple of years. I could get a personal-card approval, but not a business-card approval. I have to admit that when I clicked the submit button for this card, I held my breath and did a happy dance when I saw that message show up!
In preparation for a business-card approval, I had done the following things (which may or may not have helped 🤷♀️):
Hello, a TON of Ultimate Rewards® means that I have a lot of excellent Hyatt stays in my future. Add to the fact that this doesn’t affect my 5/24 status (I’m at 4/24), and it was the perfect choice for me!
Yes, I know the minimum spend of $30,000 is huge, but I have estimated taxes for this quarter to pay and a significant payment on a family VRBO in Costa Rica, so it’s perfect timing for me to get a card with a high minimum spend. Additionally, there are six months to make that minimum spend, so I could pay estimated taxes for two quarters if I wanted to. If you have expenses coming up over the next six months, consider whether this card could make sense for you.
Another visit to the Park Hyatt NYC is in my future!
I can almost make up the $795 annual fee with these credits—ones I will actually use:
I’ve almost covered my annual fee with these credits, and I think I can make the $500 credit with The Edit by Chase Travel℠ work also, as it is similar to the AMEX FHR credit.
I cannot express how elated I am to be in the good graces of my favorite bank again! An Instant Approval = Chase Likes Me Again is something I’ve been hoping for—and now it’s real. After months of feeling like I was stuck in the penalty box, this approval for the new Sapphire Reserve for BusinessSM card feels like a full-circle moment.
No reconsideration call, no wait time, just an immediate “yes”—a clear sign that Chase likes me again. It feels like I’m back in the inner circle, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. This isn’t just a card approval; it’s a win and a fresh start with the bank I’ve always trusted most. Let’s go!
