Reader Success Story to Hyatt Regency Coconut Point

Many of our readers are searching for a warm escape, particularly during the winter. Florida is a popular destination, and Bonita Springs, located on the southwest coast of Florida, is a great family visit. It is a charming city renowned for its stunning beaches, diverse outdoor recreational opportunities, and a laid-back coastal atmosphere.

Our reader, Amy, recently shared how she and her family used credit card points and miles to enjoy a relaxing time at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida. We thought you might want to hear how she did it, too. Here’s her story in her words:

Amy’s Trip to the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa (Bonita Springs, FL)

My family and I recently returned from the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa and absolutely loved it!  I opened my first travel credit card in May, and by December, we were able to fly round-trip from Arkansas and stay four nights in a beautiful resort.

First, I opened a card_name in May of 2023. I then referred my husband to the same card.  Next, I opened a  card_name. We were able to get elevated welcome offers on all three cards.  Then we transferred our Chase Ultimate Rewards® to Hyatt and Southwest® to make this possible.

This was enough to book the entire trip.  The resort was 23,000 points per night.  Our round-trip flights were about 28,000 points per person.

The weather was was amazing, and it was a nice break from the cold back home. My boys loved the heated pools, water slides, lawn games, and lazy river.  We also enjoyed the private beach at Big Hickory Island, which was very quiet and relaxing.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of breakfast foods to choose from.  We loved ending each night making s’mores around the fire pit.  Now we’re exploring the option of booking Maui as our next trip using credit card points.  Our family’s goal is for the four of us to take one nice trip each year, paid for with points.

I’m so glad I stumbled across Travel Mom Squad on Instagram. By listening to their podcast, I was able to make this trip possible for my family!

Bottom Line

Amy was able to make this trip happen for her family with just three credit card applications! She started in May of 2023 and took the vacation in December! Thanks so much, Amy, for showing everyone how easy it is to make family memories through the magic of credit card points and miles. Your reader success story to Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa proves the point that just getting started in this game is the first step to success!
