Reader Success Story to Maui

Pam

Our latest reader success story to Maui shows that anyone can do this, even a college student! Here is Ruth’s story:

My name is Ruth, I am just starting to enter the points and miles world. I am only 21, and in college, so it is hard to find the extra money to travel. I found Alex, Pam and Jess and the rest was history. . I watched lots of their reels and read their blog posts to get more information.

Honestly, I was totally nervous about opening a credit card and how to use and apply points, but their blog posts were so helpful as well as they always answered any DMs with questions that I had. I opened the Chase Sapphire Preferred with the opening bonus of 100,000 points. (It hasn’t been that high for over a year).

With these points, my small family and I were able to go to Maui and stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort free for 5 nights! As young parents, we were so excited to be able to experience such a beautiful resort and vacation. It was something that we wouldn’t have been able to do if it wasn’t for points/miles. Our five-year-old had a great time in the resort’s pools and the beach. We enjoyed relaxing and all the views and food.

I have opened the Capital One Venture and will use the welcome offer to pay for an Airbnb that we will stay in during a small trip to visit family in California. I am so excited to keep using points and getting travel experiences that wouldn’t be possible before!

Thanks, Ruth, for sharing your reader success story to Maui. We love that trips like these are possibilities for people who normally wouldn’t be able to travel this way. Thanks for following us, and best of luck with your future travel!

So I take it the Hyatt regency Maui was 20000 points per night? How did you book it? Through the chase website? Or? We’re there certain days or was it a promotion by Hyatt?
