I need to remember to use the $100 credit on the card_name. The card has an annual fee of $199, so that credit brings it down to $99. I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve NEVER used this credit. 🤦‍♀️ (And I’m usually on top of these benefits for most cards.) Are you using your $100 credit on the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card?
The card_name is a card I will always keep as it is vital to my Globalist strategy. I use it every year and pay estimated taxes with it because I get five elite night credits for every $10,000 I put on it. This helps me achieve Globalist status without spending 60 nights in a hotel.
You can earn $100 in Hyatt credit each anniversary year (not calendar year). Just spend $50 or more at any Hyatt property and earn $50 in statement credits up to two times each anniversary year. You can’t spend $35 and $15 and get the credit. It really has to be at least a $50 spend to trigger the credit.
I recently checked my anniversary date, and it was coming up. Luckily, I had a Hyatt stay at the Park Hyatt Auckland, so I charged a couple of meals on my card and got the following credits!
I stay at Hyatts frequently, so I can get a dinner paid for twice a year. Easy, peasy—it’s a no-brainer to use this card at check-in to cover incidentals! I also like that this isn’t a semi-annual benefit. That means I can make two $50 purchases anytime, and the credit will be triggered. Additionally, you don’t have to enroll for this credit.
Occasionally, I stay at a Hyatt hotel that is so cheap that I don’t want to use points for it. In this case, the $50 credit could also be triggered.
If it costs at least $50, a nice meal at a Hyatt restaurant can trigger the $50 credit for me.
The $100 credit on the World of Hyatt Business Card reduces my annual fee on a card I plan to have in my wallet anyway. This card is essential to me getting room upgrades, free parking, and complimentary breakfasts as a Globalist member. I would keep it even for the $199 annual fee, but getting $100 in other hotel costs makes it easier to pay that annual fee.
