Review of Westin Denver International Airport

Pam

One of my favorite airports to stay at when I have an early departure is the Westin Denver International Airport. It is just a short walk to get to the airport and I enjoy the views of the tarmac or the airport, depending on where your room is.  This hotel is one of the first things you see as you enter Denver International. To me, the building looks like a huge boat.

I only stay here when I can find an award night for less than 50K points. My most recent stay was 47K points, so I could use a 35K annual certificate and then top it off with 12,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points.  I was upgraded to a deluxe room that would have cost over $500.

Check-In

I have Platinum Elite status, and when I checked in the hotel staff thanked me for my loyalty. Occasionally, I have been upgraded to a suite here at check-in, but not this time. Breakfast in the restaurant Grill & Vine would have been included or I could take 1,000 Bonvoy Points. I opted for the points as I was leaving early and could get a bite in a lounge before my departure. Sadly, they don’t let you order room service with the breakfast benefit or I would have done that.

The Room

The rooms are spacious and have very luxurious bedding. There were two complimentary waters waiting for me in the room. The bathroom was nice but not huge, and had fluffy white bathrobes, which I always enjoy.  The hotel is very quiet; it’s usually filled with business travelers since the rooms are $600 a night and so convenient to the airport.

The beds are comfortable and the bedding is plush. I get a luxury vibe at this hotel—always a good thing!

I find the rooms at this hotel to be very comfortable!

White fluffy robes are always appreciated.

Hotel Location

The Westin has an unbeatable location, and I love the vibe. As the only hotel directly connected to DIA’s Jeppesen Terminal you are literally at the hotel in minutes. This is why I love this hotel—especially when I have a 7:00 am or earlier departure. Those extra minutes of sleep are priceless!

Bottom Line

Sometimes, an airport hotel is exactly what you need to make an early departure more manageable. The Westin Denver International Airport is my go-to when flying out of Denver. With its unbeatable combination of luxury, location, and the ability to use a Free Night Certificate, it’s the perfect storm.
