KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes are a way to book a Singapore Airlines flight at a reduced redemption. Similar to the Flying Blue Promo Rewards, these offer a discount, usually 30%, on award redemptions on certain routes. There are many routes from one city in Asia to another but there are also some flights to/from the United States to Asia and Europe.
Alex, Jess, and I took advantage of a Global Redemption, which is a similar sale (but gives you a much longer period to fly at a discount), to fly to Singapore last year. It all started when an unbelievable deal became available on Singapore Airlines with 25% off economy and premium economy seats. Instead of redeeming 75K miles each way in premium economy from San Francisco to Singapore, it was just 56,250 KrisFlyer miles. That was a great deal and a flight I would do again—especially in a throne seat!
You can enjoy the current KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes by booking your flights on the Singapore Airlines website or the Singapore Airlines mobile app from now until January 31, 2025, for travel from February 1-28, 2025. These deals don’t allow you to plan out for a trip that is far in the future, but the promotion is perfect for a last-minute trip. Both economy and business-class flights are available. Blackout dates do apply, so look carefully.
Singapore Airlines is a transfer partner of all the major banks. That means you can transfer to Singapore regardless of what transferable points you have. We’re talking American Express Membership Rewards®, Capital One Venture Miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards®, and Citi ThankYou® Points.
If you love Singapore Airlines like I do, you will want to check out KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes for last-minute travel deals. We’ll keep this updated monthly, so check back when you want that last-minute trip to Asia or Europe aboard Singapore Airlines.
