Whether you’re looking to relax on a sandy beach or have an action-packed day of activities, Mexico has an all-inclusive resort to match your vacation style. Luckily for those who love points and miles, many of these resorts can be booked with hotel points. All-inclusive resorts are typically an excellent value for your points because the points will cover almost the entire cost of your vacation (typically minus airfare, airport transfers, and tips). Let’s talk about some popular all-inclusive resorts in Mexico you can book with points.
Below are a few all-inclusive resorts in Mexico—both on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts—that you can book with different types of hotel points.
Every room in the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort has a view of the stunning turquoise water. With 540 rooms (including 81 suites), you can even book a two-bedroom suite to accommodate the family. If your goal is relaxation, the property offers a wellness-focused spa. If you’re looking for an active trip, the hotel offers numerous daily activities, a fitness center, and 13 pools!
There’s also a kids’ club and teens’ club, so there’s something here for the whole family. The Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe features 12 restaurants and bars and 24/7 room service.

If the mountain west of Mexico is what you’re looking for, consider the Hilton Vallarta Riviera. Each of the 444 rooms in this property has a balcony with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Rather than waking up early to jockey for a pool chair, you can simply reserve your poolside or beachfront cabana (for an extra fee).
Whether a sunset pool party is your vibe or you’d prefer beachfront sports, the hotel has activities to suit your vacation plans. If you’re bringing the family, the resort offers a kids’ club and teen-centered activites, too. If you’re traveling without the kids, you can book an adults-only room in a separate part of the property away from the family rooms. The resort offers eight restaurants, four bars, and room service.

Booking with Points: You can book these resorts with Hilton points or free-night certificates (standard room only). If you’re booking with points only (and not using any free-night certificates mixed into your reservation), the fifth night is free for Hilton Honors members with elite status.
For an adults-only getaway, the Hyatt Zilara Cancun offers luxurious value for your Hyatt points. Located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, the property has 310 suites with resort, pool, or ocean views. If you’re looking for an active vacation, this hotel has a “sky gym” with gorgeous views from the workout equipment—or you can take a yoga class on the beach.
The resort has a beautiful infinity pool for a relaxing day. The property also has seven restaurants and five bars/lounges, so you won’t go hungry!
The Hyatt Zilara is a great adults-only option in Cancun.
The Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a family-friendly all-inclusive hotel and is popular with families in our Facebook group.
This 547-suite property offers beautiful views, including many suites with oceanfront balconies. The hotel has three infinity pools (one with a swim-up bar) and two hot tubs. The kids’ club even has a mini-waterpark!
This Hyatt Ziva offers a kids’ club and teens’ club, daily activities, and entertainment options. You could also rent a cabana if you want that convenience and privacy. If you’re looking for more relaxation, check out the spa for a massage, facial, or body treatment. The resort features eight restaurants and ten bars/lounges, so there are tons of great dining options.
This is one of my grandchildren’s favorite resorts in the world!
Booking with Points: They Hyatt Zilara Cancun is in Award Category E, with standard rooms priced between 35,000 and 45,000 points per night for double occupancy. The Hyatt Ziva Cancun is in Award Category F, with higher nightly rates between 42,000 and 58,000 points. Hyatt’s website may show no availability or a much higher points price if you search for more than two people per room. Call or email the hotel and ask to pay cash for any children you’re bringing when you make your initial reservation.
The JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar is a luxurious wellness retreat for adults only in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a friends’ weekend, this hotel offers it all. Booking with Points: These properties can be booked with IHG points, but we suggest checking the cash cost for your dates to make sure booking with points makes sense. If you’re getting less than 0.5 cents per point with your redemption, paying cash for the stay and saving your IHG points for another trip might make provide better value for you in the long run. And remember, you can get the fourth night free if you book with IHG points and have an IHG credit card.
