Pam
Let’s talk all about Capital One Lounges today. For many people, these are their airport lounges of choice. Luckily, they have opened more of them so that they are more accessible. If you find yourself at any of the following airports, you need to check them out:
Membership has its privileges, and having a card_name or card_name will let you access a Capital One Lounge AND bring in two people with you. Additionally, any authorized users on your account can bring in two guests. This makes having one of these credit cards the easiest way for a family to access an airport lounge. You can also pay $65/person to access a lounge but that is quite expensive for entrance to an airport lounge.
When you arrive at the lounge, you simply present your card and boarding pass, and they check you in. Occasionally, there is no room in a lounge, and you will be put on a waitlist. You can always ask to go to the grab and go section of the lounge if you don’t want to wait. Just ask them if that is a possibility. Additionally, you can check the capacity of your favorite lounge and sign up for the waitlist before reaching the lounge via the mobile app.
I would venture to say that the Capital One Lounges package their food in some of the cutest ways. Rather than a huge buffet, food is presented in individual portions and their is a good variety of food. Additionally, the grab and go section of sandwiches, salads, deserts, beverages, etc. is unmatched. Cookies and brownies with containers to take with you? Now you have my attention! Nuts, chocolate raisings, trail mix, etc that you can package to take on your flight too? Yes, thank you!
Not only is their individually packed food delicious and plentiful, you can bring more of their options with you on your flight. They even provide brown paper bags with handles to make it easier.
There are multiple seating areas for a single person or large families. The bar areas are beautiful, the colors are nice, and the private bathrooms are always pristine. I have only been to the Denver lounge and the Dallas lounge but both are beautiful, and a nice respite from busy terminals.
As a self-professed airport lounge queen, I love almost all of them. However, Capital One Lounges could be my favorite. The decor is modern, the food is great, and the grab and go sections are amazing! If you go to one, grab some chocolate covered raisins – they are my favorite!

Denver lounge was top notch! Learned I could add my college age sons as authorized users on my Venture X, and they get the same lounge benefits. We had an early morning flight & not much time, but we’re glad we hit up the lounge!
It’s my favorite lounge in Denver and we have some great lounges. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for your tips, Pam! Can’t wait to visit my first Cap 1 lounge next month!
