Finding a Referral Link

Chase Credit Cards

The simplest way to find your referral links to Chase credit cards is to go to their refer a friend page. Here you will input your last name, zip code, and last four numbers of the card you want to refer a person to.

 

 

Not all Chase cards have a referral link to them. For example, the Sapphire Reserve is not part of a referral program. The Sapphire Preferred, on the other hand, is. One thing to keep in mind is when you refer someone to a Chase card you oftentimes will be referring them to a family of cards. For example, if you have a United Explorer card, you can refer someone to any Chase United card from your referral link. This is the same for Chase Ink Business cards, Freedom cards, Southwest cards, and more.

After you pull up your unique referral link, you will copy your link and send it to the person you are referring it to, and they can pick what card they want. You will get a referral bonus if they apply and are approved for a card.

 

 

In this instance, I picked my United Explorer credit card, but you can put the last four numbers for any Chase credit card you have to get your referral link. Just be sure and let them know that they will be directed to a page that shows several credit cards, and they can pick the one that works for them.

 

American Express Credit Cards

To find your American Express referral link, you can go to this webpage and fill in the correct information for the card you want to refer from. You can also log into your American Express account for the card you want to refer to. On the home page, scroll down until you see the refer a friend tab. You will have different referral amounts for different cards. In this example, I picked the American Express Gold card to refer a friend to.

 

 

Once you hit the “refer now” button, you will go to another page. Scroll down till you see the following, and you can choose to send them an email with a link or message them a link.

 

 

What’s great about the Amex referral program is that you can refer to many cards besides the one you have. If you have a Hilton card, you can refer to all the other Hilton cards, but if you have an Amex Gold card, for example, you can refer to any Amex credit card!

Referral Limits

It’s important to note that there is a limit on the number of people you can refer to each year. Usually, this is around 3-5 referrals a year, or it will be based on the max number of referral points you can earn in one year. Each January, this resets. Another thing to be aware of is you can’t refer yourself to cards.

 

Finding People to Refer To

The easiest person to refer would be your spouse or partner. If you have a player 2 involved in this with you, then we always recommend signing up for a card and referring them to it. In doing this, you’ll get a referral bonus and the signup bonus two times! A great way to get friends and relatives to use your referral links is to tell them how you’ve been saving money with points/miles or invite them on a trip with you and split the points for those hotel nights!
