American Express Centurion Lounges are my absolute favorite lounges as far as lounges that come with a credit card. The only thing better than them is the Business and First Class Lounges that come with an award redemption business or first-class seat. Currently, there are 14 Centurion Lounges with one opening in London soon. Here is the list of lounges currently open with their times.
Here are 3 reasons I like the Centurion Lounges so much:
The American Express Centurion Lounges, as a whole, are just nicer than the Priority Pass lounges. They have larger spaces, more stylish furniture, and are more aesthetically pleasing.
Most of the food I’ve had at American Express Centurion Lounges has been far superior to that at Priority Pass Lounges. There is usually a buffet option. Additionally, local chefs partner to prepare fresh, seasonal food. Signature cocktails and wines are also available, as well as coffee bars and soft drinks.
Some other things offered at many lounges include:
The lounge at my home airport in Denver even has some games, including a small shuffleboard, that people can play. All of these amenities combine to make time before a flight or during a layover less painful. I actually enjoy getting to the airport a little earlier to relax before I fly with a good meal and beverage.
Travelers departing with confirmed boarding passengers that hold certain credit cards may access the lounge. Holders of the American Express Delta Reserve cards may enter only if they are traveling Delta Airlines that day. They may bring in guests at a reduced cost of $50 per person. The following credit cards are required for entry to a Centurion Lounge:
I enjoy my stays in all airport lounges but particularly Centurion Lounges. I will always keep my Platinum Card now that I have a Centurion Lounge in my home airport. It is not going anyplace but smack dab in my wallet!
If you love to travel but hate flying, you must try out an airport lounge. Talk about making a flight less painful and being able to relax before a flight or during a connection – they are amazing!
