American Airlines is one of the best airlines for flying to the Caribbean. We are flying from New York City, so let’s see what we can find. Looking at the 30-day calendar makes it a lot easier to see the cheaper options.
20K roundtrip to Aruba is reasonable. Our family of four can fly for 80K roundtrip. We can get there with just a couple of credit cards.
The Holiday Inn Resort Aruba-Beach Resort & Casino has received a great review from one of our readers. A room with two double beds will cost 42K points/night.
I don’t know about you, but four people in two double beds isn’t going to cut it for me. I would prefer to stay at the Hyatt Regency Resort Spa and Casino for 25K points/night in two queen beds! And this resort looks GREAT! Jess actually had this booked pre-COVID and had to cancel it.
Imagine the thrill of taking your family to the turquoise waters of Aruba for just a few credit card sign-up bonuses! Our Friday Family Vacation to Aruba outlines just one way you can do this. There are countless other ways to fly and stay there—all with credit card points and miles!

sorry i’m a little confused – so we apply for the cards – and u put charges on there for bills and stuff totaling the amount needed for the bonus . so now u have the points – how do u use them to pay for a plane ticket ? and how do u use the other card to pay for the hotel ? do you pay for the hotel on the card as ur 3k needed in three month type thing ?
