Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona is home to many domestic carriers so you have a wide choice of how you can use points and miles to fly there. Our family of four is flying from Denver, Colorado in the winter to escape some cold weather. United Airlines and Southwest Airlines have nonstop options. Let’s check them out!
Four people can fly there for under 100K miles. You would probably need your Player 2 to get one of these cards too, unless you get the Chase Ink Business Preferred card and then just one person can earn the points, transfer them to United, and you’d be good to go!
For Southwest flights, if you are willing to take the late flights, you can really save. There are flights for as little as 5-7K miles each way.
You could use Ultimate Reward that you earned on the Chase Ink Business Preferred or the Chase Sapphire Preferred above or Rapid Rewards from a Southwest Card to book these flights.
Scottsdale is home to every chain of hotels so you have many options. We want to stay at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale because Alex and her family loved it so much. It is a category 5 hotel and will cost us 23,000 points/night because our nights are peak nights. Scottsdale is a popular place for a winter escape! However, you could get it at 17K off peak or 20K peak times if you choose different days. We need 60K points for our three-night stay.
Here are some cards you could get for this stay:
Whether you want to go to Scottsdale for a weekend escape from the cold winter weather, or just head there for all the hiking and adventure it offer, our Friday Family Vacation to Scottsdale, Arizona shows you that it doesn’t have to cost you much money. By using credit card points and miles for your flights and lodging, you can splurge on some Arizona adventures!
