My Favorite Hotel Stays

Pam

Trying to pick your favorite hotel stays is kind of like picking your favorite child. Each has their uniqueness and you love them for different reasons. And with hotel stays, getting to stay at them for pennies on the dollar anywhere you want makes you love more of them! Here are some of my favorite hotel stays thus far!

JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa

The JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa stands out as a uniquely imaginative and luxurious destination in Vietnam, offering guests an experience that blends whimsical design with top-tier amenities. It was one of those hotels I planned a vacation around as it completely intrigued me.

I felt like I was in an imaginary destination designed by whimsical eccentric, and I oohed and awed at every turn. The resort was built by renowned architect Bill Bensley, and the hotel’s fictional backstory centers around (stay with me here) the hotel being established on the grounds of a long-shuttered university originally founded by the French colonial authorities called Lamarck University.  (Are you still with me? It’s a little convoluted, but it’s delightful.) This concept transforms the property into a quirky-but-elegant academic setting complete with a football stadium, buildings that are named after different college departments, and the cutest, most whimsical outfits worn by the staff. You can read my post about it here. It was a long flight to Vietnam to get there, but I would return in an instant.

Whimsical decor and a beautiful beach made this hotel a memorable stay.

I loved the whimsy and colorful decor!

Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi

If you’re looking for a luxurious beachfront getaway that blends sophistication with natural beauty, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas is the retreat for you. While the only reason I was going there was a flight in Etihad Apartments, this resort surprised me so much that I may have to return. It is tucked away on the shores of Saadiyat Island and offers a peaceful contrast to the busyness of Abu Dhabi’s city center.

Amazing food, the beach, a beautiful suite upgrade, and fabulous weather (when back in Denver, there was snow) made it a memorable stay. You can read my review here. My daughter has been talking about a return visit too, and it is an easy flight from London, so we may have to go back.

Grand Hotel Victoria Concept and Spa in Lake Como

The hotel that made me feel like I was living the “lifestyle of the rich and famous” was the Grand Hotel Victoria Concept and Spa in Lake Como, Italy. I have been there twice and would love to return. Not only is the hotel magnificent, but the town of Menaggio is cute and quaint with ferry access to both Varenna and Bellagio. And it has the best gelato!

Impression Moxché by Secrets

The Impression Moxché by Secrets is my favorite all-inclusive resort, but it comes at a price. Located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, it is a luxurious establishment that also offers superb food. Impression Moxché offers an ultra-luxurious, elevated experience. It’s adults-only, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere that’s free from families and large crowds. At 50K points/night, it is one of the higher-priced redemptions you can make through Hyatt, but keep in mind that it is all-inclusive. Award availability can be limited, so it is recommended to book well in advance.

Park Hyatt New York

There are countless hotels in New York City to stay at with points and miles. However, if I could pick just one, it would be the Park Hyatt New York, over and over again. The only problem is that it is a lot of points, so sometimes I pick the Thompson Central Park, which is across the street and also very nice.

But if you want pure luxury in the Big Apple, book the Park Hyatt, because it will not disappoint.

Almost All Park Hyatts

I can’t forget some other memorable Park Hyatt experiences—the Park Hyatt Auckland, Park Hyatt Bangkok, Park Hyatt Vienna, Park Hyatt London, and Park Hyatt Sydney have all been amazing stays! Please give me a Park Hyatt everywhere! The ability to get Hyatt’s outsized value in a luxury hotel is mind-blowing!

Nobis Hotel in Palma de Mallorca

This was my most recent over-the-top stay, and I will have a review of it available shortly. It’s housed in an old palace. Need I say more? Nobis Hotel Palma is a Marriott by Design hotel, so I used Marriott points for it—divine!

The first glimpse in from the front entrance let me know it would be magical!

Just me in my palace, living the best life!

Bottom Line

Confession time: I am unabashedly a hotel snob now after all these great hotel stays. These are just a few of my favorite hotel stays, and I can’t wait to stay at and share more with you.  Now tell me, what are your favorite stays?
