I hit the “Let’s go” area under Athens, and this screen popped up. I put in my home airport of Denver and a date during the sale’s time period.
.
Several options were available, but the long layovers didn’t excite me.
They all seem to stop in Chicago, so I checked out a positioning flight from there. I think I prefer positioning to Chicago for that direct flight. What are your thoughts?
Sadly, these Global Escapes are only good for economy or premium economy flights. They would be great family-trip options, though, and it may make sense for you to get Alaska Airlines credit cards. These flights may be flown on partner airlines, not just Alaska flights, which opens up many options. Just check out those taxes and fees because some of the partners have higher ones.
The Alaska Airlines quarterly deals called Global Escapes could offer great savings when using Alaska miles. Let us know if you use one!
