It won’t shock you to learn that each of us has the World of Hyatt Credit Card. While this card doesn’t currently have a huge welcome offer, it does give cardholders five elite-night credits on your journey to Globalist status. Additionally, one of the best benefits of this card is that each year on your account anniversary you earn a free-night certificate to use at a Category 1-4 hotel. We always try to get the best value we can out of that certificate, and we know you want to do that, too, so let’s look at some of the best Hyatt hotels that get you a great value those free-night certificates. We usually try to pick Category 4 hotels because they’re nicer and the room rate is typically higher, so we get the most value and a really enjoyable experience.
Be sure to sign in when you are looking for a hotel room to redeem your free-night certificate for and that you see the free-night award being applied when you make your reservation.

The Hyatt Vacation Club at Piñon Pointe is a great hotel option if you are visiting Sedona. I love that you have much more room in their studio villas than you would with a typical hotel room—the standard room has a small living area and kitchenette. If you want to save money and cook some of your meals, you have that option.
Many readers have recommended the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, located in Orlando, Florida, as a great place to stay when visiting Disney World. It offers complimentary shuttle service to Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort, as well as a golf course for a break between visiting all the parks. This hotel offers a ton of activities, from rock climbing to swimming in its multiple pools to enjoying the nearby lake.
I used a free night certificate to stay here on my trip to Dublin and can vouch that it is a great stay. Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin is in a convenient central location, and we walked everywhere in Dublin from this hotel. The room was nice, and they served a great breakfast.
Megan (our TMS digital business manager) used her annual free-night certificate to stay at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay. This hotel is just outside of central Tokyo in a location perfect for anyone planning to visit Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea. Be aware that this hotel is around a 45-minute drive from central Tokyo and a little over an hour by train/subway. (There is also a Hyatt Regency Tokyo located in central Tokyo, so don’t get the two confused! The Hyatt Regency Tokyo, in the Shinjuku District, could also be a great place to stay with your free-night certificate.)
This hotel is a perfect use for a free night certificate as Paris hotels can get expensive. Be sure to check out the view of the Eiffel Tower from the Club Lounge!
These are some of our best bets for using a Hyatt annual free-night certificate. Do you have other suggestions? Let us know, and we will add them to the list!

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt in Dublin as well and it was wonderful! Super friendly staff. We used points.
Thanks for the confirmation – it helps our readers!
I didn’t check them all, but it looks like both Italy options are category 5s now, so the 1-4 certificate wouldn’t work.
Thanks for letting us know – we’ll edit it. Sad when that changes…
Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans. Great location and in the middle of a lot of restaurants and bars
We’ve also stayed at the Hyatt Centric in Dublin for five nights on points. It is right across the street from St. Patrick’s Cathedral and a stop for the double decker bus tour. Here’s a video I took of it–https://familiestravelfree.com/dublin-hotel-hyatt-centric-liberties-review/
I need to figure out when to get the card to get the anniversary free night. How long do you have after you get the free night to use it?
One year.
How do you claim your free night when booking with your banked points for the other nights on-line? Do you have to call hotel directly?
When you look for the night and have clicked “use points” it will give you the option of using your free night or points.
Can u use it for more than one stay? So they have to be used at the same time?
If you have two certificates (or more) you can use both – just do separate reservations and ask them to merge them at check-in or call beforehand.
