Delta Sky Club Boston Review

Pam

On my most recent trip to London, I was flying Virgin Atlantic on a positioning flight from Boston to London. Their Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is closed for renovations and I was immediately disappointed that I was going to have to use the Delta Sky Club in Boston instead. And then I walked into it – WOW!  It is huge and has the most gorgeous and innovative artwork throughout it.

Airport lounge

Interesting artwork is found throughout the lounge.

Located in the International Terminal E, it is a sprawling 21,000 square feet of gorgeousness. The architecture is interesting, the lounge is new (opened up in August of 2023), and it has a large bar and seating for 400+ diners. The varied seating options and the design of the lounge were quite impressive. But it was the gorgeous artwork that really capture my attention.

Delta says that Boston’s nautical history inspired the design of the lounge and this was apparent. The shape of the lounge mimics the curvature of a sailboat.

“While no two lounges are alike, the layout and Boston-inspired details in this Club make it feel truly one-of-a-kind,” said Claude Roussel, Managing Director – Delta Sky Club. “From the moment our guests enter the lounge, we want them to feel transported — not just by curated design, but by the care and hospitality they experience from our ambassadors.”

And I concur – this is a one-of-a-kind lounge and impressive to behold.

There are numerous stylish seating areas.

Food in the Delta Sky Club Boston

There were a variety of food options while I was there: sandwiches, salads, chowder, chili, macaroni and cheese, chicken, molasses beans, vegetables, and an assortment of desserts including cookies, brownies and cannoli (a nod to Boston). Soft drink and coffee stations are interspersed throughout the lounge.

While all the food was great and the variety was nice, they were slow at refilling the stations during my stay. I noticed one food attendant trying to keep up with it – hopefully, it is refilled more often at other times.

Bathroom Area at the Delta Sky Club Boston

Gorgeous bathrooms in an airport lounge? The decor and style did not stop in the lounge. The common bathroom areas were also stylish. There are five shower areas also – which is perfect for a connecting flight!

Style and opulence in an airport lounge bathroom? Yes, at the Delta Sky Club Boston!

Bottom Line

Despite being initially disappointed that I could not visit a Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, I ended up being awed by the gorgeous Delta Sky Club Boston. It quickly became one of my favorite airport lounges due to the gorgeous architecture and design. Hopefully on my next visit, the food options will be refilled quicker!
