Yes, it’s true—SLH (Small Luxury Hotels) and Hyatt are parting ways. And now we have a date for this split—May 15, 2024. Alas, we’ve enjoyed this partnership, but all is not lost as they will be partnering with Hilton soon (date not yet known). What does this mean for each of us? For instance, I have two SLH reservations coming up—one to the Grand Hotel Victoria Concept and Spa in Lake Como and one to Canaves Oia Suites in Santorini, Greece (just booked last week).
First of all, if you already have reservations like we do, you are safe. They will still be honored. Here is the official word from Hyatt:
We are hopeful that we will still get free breakfast after May 15, 2024, as most SLH hotels offer free breakfast to all guests. If you haven’t booked an SLH with Hyatt points yet, don’t delay!
If you need to cancel or change your reservation, follow these guidelines from Hyatt:
After months of speculation, we have a date when SLH and Hyatt will officially part ways. We will definitely miss this partnership, but are happy that we still have a way to book these aspirational stays through Hilton.
