Do you have a place you want to travel to (or several)? Maybe a type of flight that you have heard about and you really want to fly sometime in your lifetime? Alex, Jess, and I have had a multitude of bucket list travels that credit card points and miles have made possible.  The amazing thing is that we keep checking them off, one by one! And we keep thinking of more! Here are some of our bucket list travels with points and miles that we are lucky enough to have completed.

African Safari

Last year, my husband and I were able to use points and miles to reduce the cost of a trip to Africa considerably. We didn’t pay for the actual safari with points and miles, but our business class seats to get there and several hotel stays before and after the safari were all covered. We also could have used our card_name to pay for the safari and then “erased” part of the cost.

We saw so many giraffes, elephants, and lions on our trip. It was spectacular!

Flying Singapore Suites

When I saw Singapore Suites, I knew that I HAD to fly on them. It wasn’t cheap—a hefty 143K Singapore miles! But to put that into perspective, it was less than the welcome offer on my The Business Platinum Card® from American Express. The experience was something I will always remember. Talk about feeling fancy! It was definitely a bucket list flight and something that NEVER would have happened without points and miles.

A Trip Down Under

To be fair, Jess hasn’t actually completed her trip to Australia yet. But it’s been at the top of her bucket list for years, and she’ll finally mark it off in just a few months. She found business class flights from LAX to SYD (and back) on Qantas for only 75,000 Cathay Pacific Asia Miles each way (Qantas and Cathay Pacific are both in the Oneworld Airline Alliance). She transferred points from American Express and Capital One to Cathay Pacific to cover the cost of two round-trip flights.

Her #1 bucket list Hyatt property is the Park Hyatt Sydney. Guess where she’ll be staying in Sydney? 😏 I loved it so much, and I know she will, too! She’s using Hyatt points and paying $0, of course. She’ll also be staying a few nights at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. I can’t wait to read her review of that one!
