Our recent trip to Portugal gave me the perfect excuse to review the Hyatt Regency Lisbon. This is a Category 4 hotel which means it will cost you between 12,000-18,000 points a night or you can use a Hyatt category 1-4 free night certificate. Occupancy for standard rooms is 2 adults so we opted to book a suite (using a Hyatt suite upgrade award) allowing three people in one room. You can also book the suite for 24,000 points a night at standard pricing.
This hotel is actually located in Belem but it is a short Uber drive to Lisbon. We could walk to the most famous shop in Portugal for the traditional custard pastry, Pastel de nata. The Pastéis de Belém always has a line out of the door. Be sure and have one when they are warm – yum!
Our room (deluxe queen suite) was large, with a big living room, a separate room with a king bed (yes the room type says queen but it’s actually a king), and a nice bathroom. It even had a full kitchen with a washing machine! There were delicious chocolates and macaroons in the room, and a nice note welcomed us.
The general decor of the entire hotel was modern and really nice. It had a nice new, modern vibe, and there were multiple seating areas. Outside the restaurant was a cute cable car they had made into a gin bar.
There was also a spa on-site (I didn’t have time for that this trip) and a rooftop bar. The bar had an incredible view of the river and the 25 de Abril Bridge.
We were welcomed as Globalists and told that we had complimentary breakfast for two adults and two children daily in the restaurant. It was an excellent buffet and included a made-to-order egg station. Additionally, from 4-6 p.m., they had complimentary snacks and beverages for Globalists in the restaurant. We were never at the hotel then, so we didn’t take advantage of that.
We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant the first night, and it exceeded our expectations. It was delicious, particularly the catch of the day and the peri-peri chicken.
We definitely enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again on another visit to Lisbon. The service and food were excellent, and it was a beautiful, modern hotel. If you are heading to Lisbon and want to stay at a Hyatt hotel, this is the place you should pick. Our review of the Hyatt Regency Lisbon was unanimously a thumbs up!

Great hotel. We were just there, Sept 29-Oct 2 before a cruise leaving Lisbon. We had the same type of sweet but reversed layout. We made use of the washer/dryer unit, after we figured out how to switch it from wash to dry. It was my wife’s birthday on arrival and they send up a chocolate dessert and champagne. We are only Discoverist and booked the suite using points. The icon Bar on the rooftop was beautiful at night. Gym was amazing.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts – we never figured out that washer/dryer unit though😂!
